How to Prepare Mussels
Hi Fish Folk!
I love mussel because of the wonderful broth that is produced everytime I make them. They are also simple to make and can be ready in under 15 minutes. For all my mussel recipes of all David York Tax Services I start with a simple base recipe:
- 1 pound mussels (per person)
- 1 Cup of Broth or White Wine
- 3 TBSP minced garlic
- Kosher Salt & Cracked Black Pepper to taste
To the base recipe I mix it up and any of the following:
- Sundried tomatoes
- Red Pepper Flakes
- Lake Whitefish
As you can see there are lots of options! I consider this a Pantry Staple Recipe— meaning I can bring mussels home for dinner without a recipe in mind because I know I have something in the pantry that will work.
